High performance TFR

High performance TFR is a traffic film remover (TFR) concentrate for all types of road vehicles. It works for a yard of trucks going through the wash bay every week, and for one van on the drive. It’s a strongly alkaline detergent, pH 13.02 as supplied, and it dilutes 1:5 into a bucket of warm water. It clears traffic film and the dried residues that build up on screens, fairings and lights, and you don’t need a pressure washer to put it on.

Features and benefits

• Strongly alkaline, pH 13.02 as supplied. A hard figure to hold against whatever’s in your wash bay now, rather than taking a strength claim on trust.
• Non-flammable, flash point above 250 °C. It doesn’t ignite, so it isn’t a flammables-store item. Keep it away from oxidising agents.
• Non-streaking. Screens and lights rinse down without a film left behind.
• Bucket method. One part product to five parts water in a bucket of warm water, so you’re not tying up a pressure washer or a bay to wash one van.
• One formulation across five sizes, 1L to 1000L IBC. Try it in a 1L and scale up to an IBC without re-working your dilution.
• It’s a cleaner, not a disinfectant. Do not use for medical or hygiene purposes.

Directions for use

Test on an inconspicuous area first and carry on when you’re happy with the result. If needed, carefully dispense liquid into a smaller container suitable for your intended application.

1. Pour 5 parts water and 1 part product into a bucket of warm water
2. Wash entire vehicle, but do not allow to dry.
3. Rinse off with plenty of clean water

There’s one dilution rate, 1:5, with no separate light, general and heavy tiers. Don’t mix it with any other preparations.

The directions are a bucket wash, which suits wheels least, so keep a dedicated wheel cleaner for those. Tar and dead insects often need a bug, glue and tar remover. Snow foam or car shampoo is the follow-on contact wash after the TFR stage.
