Lustro Chewing Gum & Label Glue Remover 400ml

A solvent chewing gum remover that also lifts adhesive tape and label glue. It softens the bond underneath so the residue comes away with a scraper or a cloth, rather than being picked at or abraded off. Made in Britain and supplied ready to use in a 400ml aerosol.

Features and benefits

• Ready to use. It sprays at working strength, so there’s nothing to mix and every operator applies the same thing.
• Softens the bond instead of abrading it. Gum and label adhesive lift away, so you’re not working a scuff mark into whatever is underneath.
• One can covers several jobs. Gum on seating and flooring, price labels on glass and shop fittings, tape residue on trim.
• Colourless. It goes on clear rather than tinted, which matters on light seating and pale flooring.
• Extremely flammable. Keep it off heat, sparks and open flames, don’t spray near an ignition source, and store it below 50°C and out of sunlight.

Directions for use

Follow the directions printed on the can. Work in a well ventilated area, away from heat, sparks and open flames, and wear gloves and eye protection. Don’t pierce or burn the can, even when it’s empty.

It’s a solvent, so spot test in an unseen corner before you commit to a panel. Polystyrene, ABS, rubber seals, leather, suede and latex-backed carpet are the ones to try first. For insects and road tar on paintwork, the water-based bug, glue and tar remover is the gentler choice.
