Spray on wax

Spray on wax is a ready-to-use spray wax for vehicle exterior paintwork. Mist it lightly onto a clean, dry car, then buff to a shine with a clean dry cloth. Nothing to dilute and nothing to mix. It’s a finishing product rather than a wash, so it’s the between-washes job for valeters and fleet wash bays.

Features and benefits

• Ready to use. There’s no ratio to get wrong and nothing to mix.
• Goes on dry, not wet. Some of the best-known trade spray waxes are drying aids you catch while the panels are still wet. This one wants the car washed and dried first.
• Buffs off with a cloth. A clean dry cloth does it, so there’s no machine or applicator pad. No cloth comes in the pack.
• Not classified as hazardous under CLP. No pictogram, no signal word and no hazard statement on the container. Gloves and eye protection still apply.
• Written for gloss paintwork. Glass, trim, plastic, rubber, chrome and wheels aren’t covered either way, and neither is matt or satin paint. Keep it to gloss paint, and test an inconspicuous area first.
• 1L and 5L, one blend. Same product in both, so the 5L is the trade pack rather than a different mix. There’s no published coverage figure, so size it against your own throughput.

Safety and ingredients

Spray on wax isn’t classified as hazardous under CLP, so there’s no pictogram, no signal word and no hazard statement to display. That’s the classification, not a reason to be casual with it. Wear gloves and eye protection, keep the air moving if you’re working indoors, and rinse your hands when you’re done.

CAUTION: Contact with eyes and skin should be avoided. Use gloves and eye protection. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially indoors. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Wash with plenty of water. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Do not use for medical or hygiene purposes. Do not mix with any other preparations. Do not ingest. If product is ingested, then seek medical advice. Always test on an inconspicuous area prior to use and only proceed when satisfied with the results. Rinse hands after use.
