Limescale remover

Limescale remover is Emchem’s acidic descaler for taps, toilets and washroom surfaces dulled by hard water. Spray it on, leave it up to 5 minutes, wipe it off with a damp cloth. It’s a descaler and nothing more, and it’s not for medical or hygiene use.

Features and benefits

• Phosphoric acid, >5% but <15%. Dissolves the calcium carbonate that limescale is made of, so the deposit wipes off rather than being scrubbed off.
• Anionic surfactants, under 5%. They lift the greasy soil bound into the scale, so it comes away with the deposit.
• 1L at £3.99, 5L at £9.99. Five times the volume for two and a half times the price.
• Plain screw cap, no trigger head. You’ll need a trigger spray bottle to apply it.
• A descaler, not a disinfectant. It shifts scale. It won’t sanitise a toilet, so keep a separate product for that job.

Directions for use

1. It’s acidic, so test on an inconspicuous area first, and only carry on when you’re satisfied with the results.
2. Spray onto the surface requiring treatment and allow to work its magic for up to 5 minutes.
3. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
4. Rinse hands after use.

Use it as supplied, and don’t mix it with any other preparation. A 500 gsm microfibre cloth does the wiping.
